HADLEY — Lillian C. Bezanson, 96, of Hadley, died peacefully at her home on Oct 12 2009.

Bom in West Hartford, Conn., on April 27, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Carl Carlson and Marie Carlson Larson. Lillian graduated from Central Connecticut State College in New Britai,n Conn.

She was predeceased by her husband Philip T. Bezanson.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Bezanson and his wife Janie, of Scandale, N.Y; her daughter, Carol and her husband Bill Garrabrant of Pittman, N.J; and her grandchildren, Philip Bezanson and his wife Rachel of New York, N.Y., Jeffrey Bezanson of Cambridge, and Karen Garrabrant of Atlanta, Ga.

There are no calling hours. A graveside service will take place on Friday, Oct. 16, at 1 p.m. in Plainville Cemetery in Hadley.2

She was predeceased by her husband, Maj. Charles F.

Cremation will take place. No visitation. Private family service will be held in Sydney Memorial Chapel.5

BEZANSON, Chester Gordon - 91, Centreville, Kings Co., died January 3, 1995, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.

Born at Halls Harbour, he was a son of the late Clyde and Gladys (Corkum) Bezanson. He had been a carpenter, a farmer and a cooper, as well as a barber.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Doris Rogers, Centreville; sons, Emmerson, Black Rock; Thomas, Surrey, B.C; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, the former Clara Belle Power; sons, Harvey, Lewis; brothers, Harold, Isadore.

Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday in W.C. Hiltz Funeral Parlour, Kentville, where funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Rev. Gerald Zinck and Lic. Robert MacCormick officiating. Burial in East Halls Harbour Cemetery, Kings Co.6

Born in Halls Harbour, Kings County, he was a son of the late Clyde and Gladys (Corkum) Bezanson. He was an elder of Church of Latter Day Saints. He was a cooper, and worked as an industrial roofer for 51 years.

He is survived by his wife, the former Leota Legge; two sons, Andrew (Andy), Lower Sackville; Bill, Cornwallis, P.E.I; two daughters, Edith Smith, Kentville; Karen Smith, Lower Sackville; brother, Chester, Centreville; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Harold. The body is in T.K. Barnard Funeral Home, Lower Sackville, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today. The body will be transferred to Church of Latter Day Saints Chapel, corner of MacDougall Avenue and Glendale Drive, Lower Sackville, visiting 1-2 p.m. Thursday, where funeral will follow at 2 p.m., Bishop Gilbert Smith officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Estates, Lower Sackville.4
