RelationshipGreat-granddaughter of Jean George Bezanson
Rebecca Bezanson was born on 30 June 1822 at Chester, Nova Scotia.3,4,5 Paul Wentzell's family genealogy reports that Rebecca was the "daughter of Jacob B. Bezanson and Mary Ann Anderson, Scotland", however, Chester Township vital records and Dorothy Evans' Bezansons from Nova Scotia have her as the daughter of John Bezanson and Ann Brimmer Anderson. There is another Rebecca Bezanson, daughter of Alexander Bezanson and Ann Barbara Lantz, but there are no details for her either in Bezansons from Nova Scotia or the Chester Township records.3,5 She married Joseph Lantz on 18 July 1848. She was 26. He was 26; the ceremony was performed by Rev. B. Taylor.5 Rebecca Bezanson died on 7 September 1902 at age 80.3,5 She, daughter of John Johannes Bezanson and Ann Brimmer Anderson, and Rebecca Bezanson, daughter of Alexander Bezanson and Anna Barbara Lantz, might be the same person. If so, the evidence would suggest that her true parents were John and Ann Brimmer Anderson.6

Records for Naomi are more muddled than usual. Dorthy Evans says her name was Naomi Nauss, but other records indicate she was Naomi Corkum. Her father's name might have been Francis Russell, or Francis Russell Corkum.
She has multiple birth dates, and multiple genealogies say she was a widow when she married George W. Bezanson, but the marriage entry says "spinster", not "widow", and I have not located a death record for George Hatt.
