AVERY WHITMAN BEZANSON

Avery Whitman Bezanson of Chester Basin died Friday, at the Fisherman's Memorial Hospital in Lunenburg, at the age of 75 years.

The son of the late James and Mary Bezanson of Marriotts Cove, Lunenburg County, he was a member of United Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Alfretta; four sons, Henry and Clarence, of Chester Basin, and Angus and Meldrum, of Toronto; four duaghters, Isabelle (MRs. Robert DeMille) of Berwick, Ruth (Mrs. Arthur Hatt) of Chester Basin, Pearl (Mrs. Bertmann Sampson) of St. Catharines, Ontario and Marie (Mrs. William Hegedus) of Chippawa, Ontario; 40 grand-children; and 24 great-grand-children.

Funeral services will be held from the United Baptist Church, Chester Basin today at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. A. K. Herman officating.

Internment will be at the Baptsit cemetery at Chester Basin. Remains are resting at the Chester Funeral Home.1

She is survived by her husband, Asahel; daughter, Donalda Tupper, Kentville; son, Robert Vidito and wife Mary, West Brooklyn; brother, Avery Hatt, Port Williams; grandchildren, Susan Hanley, Judy Walsh, Eric and Wayne Vidito; seven great-grandchildren; five stepchildren.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Burton Vidito and her second husband, Earle Dearman; sister, Gladys Clarke; brothers, Murray and Melbourne Hatt.

Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Wolfville. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in Lockhartville United Baptist Church, Rev. Daniel LeBlanc and Rev. Gordon Delaney officiating. Burial in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport.2
