     June A. Wells was born on 12 June 1918 at Williamstown, Nova Scotia.2,1 She married Victor Tellstone on 15 June 1940 at Plattsburgh, New York. She was 22. He was 24.3,4 June A. Wells died on 6 August 2005 at Stanton Nursing Home, Glens Falls, New York, at age 87.5 She was buried in Town of Plattsburgh Community Mausoleum, Plattsburgh, New York.6

GLENS FALLS - June A. Tellstone, 87, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, at Stanton Nursing Home in Glens Falls.

June was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, to the late Louis Wells and Daisy Bezanson Wells, but was raised by her grandparents in Vermont.

In 1940, she married Victor Tellstone. They had 50 wonderful years together until his death in December 1990.

For several years, June had a successful Stanley Home Products business. She was a jewelry department manager at Kings Department Store for nine years and then office manager at the Senior Citizens Council for 11 years. She was very active as a volunteer for RSVP.

June liked bowling, knitting, cooking and crafts.

She belonged to the Senior Citizens Club in Schuyler Falls and the Golden Age Club in Plattsburgh.

She is survived by two children: Karen Tellstone McKay and her husband, Fred Fischer, of Florida and Rand Tellstone and his wife, Pat, of Glens Falls. In addition, she has five grandchildren: Sara McKay of South Glens Falls, Kimberly McKay Luke of Scotia, N.Y., Jason Tellstone and his wife, Bonnie, of Fort Edward, Robyn Tellstone of Glens Falls and Christina Tellstone Phillipp of California; plus seven great-grandchildren: Jamie Luke, Brittany and Cody Boomhower, Crystal, Amber and Skyler Phillip, and Brook-Lynn Tellstone; one nephew, Gary Wells and his wife, Carol, of Massachusetts; and two very close friends, Donald and Marilyn Velie and their children, Donald Jr., Robert and David, of Saranac, N.Y.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Donald Wells and Lee Wells.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005, from noon to 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005, at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Plattsburgh.

Burial will follow in Whispering Maples Mausoleum in Plattsburgh.5
