     Margaret Cross was born on 25 December 1837 at Tancook Island, Nova Scotia.^2,3 She lived in Blandford, Nova Scotia.¹ She married Josiah Wilineff on 15 November 1862. She was 24.^1,3 Margaret Cross married John Gaspar Young on 6 October 1872 at Tancook Island, Nova Scotia. She was 34.³ Margaret Cross died on 21 June 1907 at age 69.³

     Charles Cross was born on 16 November 1838 at Tancook Island, Nova Scotia.^2,3 He married Annie Sophia Cleveland on 1 January 1860 at Tancook Island, Nova Scotia. He was 21.³ Charles Cross married Catherine Adelaide Baker after 1912.³ Charles Cross died on 8 March 1930 at age 91.³

     George Cross was born on 3 May 1841 at Tancook Island, Nova Scotia.^2,3 He married Elizabeth Wilineff on 18 April 1865 at Chester, Nova Scotia. He was 23.^1,3 George Cross died on 23 May 1923 at age 82.³

     Eunice Cross was born on 3 July 1843 at Tancook Island, Nova Scotia.^1,2 She married George Peter Mason on 2 March 1861 at Blandford, Nova Scotia. She was 17.¹ Eunice Cross married George Hatt on 13 September 1881 at Chester, Nova Scotia. She was 38. He was 55.³ Eunice Cross became a widow at age 53 upon the death of her husband George Hatt on 29 July 1896 at Chester, Nova Scotia.² Eunice Cross moved to Boston, Massachusetts, after her husband's death with her children.⁴ She died on 6 September 1930 at Waltham, Massachusetts, at age 87 of chronic parenchymatous nephritis. The informant on her death certificate was Ada Hatt.^1,5,6 Eunice Cross was buried in Rock Cemetery, Middleborough, Massachusetts.⁷

     George Peter Mason married Eunice Cross on 2 March 1861 at Blandford, Nova Scotia. She was 17.³ George Peter Mason and Eunice Cross appeared on the census of 1871 at Tancook, Nova Scotia, with Alice Mason, Emma Mason, Calvin Mason, George Mason and Estella May Mason.⁴ George Peter Mason died on 7 April 1880 when he drowned off Tancook Island.⁵
     A newspaper story about the drowning incident, The Chronicle-Herald, Halifax, Nova Scotia, on 8 April 1880: LUNENBURG. - Yesterday six men belonging to Tancook Island, Lunenburg county, were returning in a centre board lobster boat about 15 feet long from Chester, where they had been for a load of lobster bows and laths. When near home an attempt was made to jibe the sail of the boat, but she was capsized by the strong breeze that was blowing at Long Reef. All the men were thrown into the water. They clung to the upturned craft for a long time.

William Young, who saw the men clinging to the boat, put out in a skiff and rescued three of them, but the others, benumbed by cold, released their hold and perished.

Those drowned were: George Mason, leaving a widow and six children; David Langille, leaving a widow and five children; John Wilson, leaving a widow and six children.

Those saved were Isaac Mason, brother of George, William Thomas and Charles Cross. All are married.

None of the bodies have been recovered.^6,7

     George Hatt was born on 3 September 1826 at Chester, Nova Scotia.^2,3 He married Dora MacDonald on 16 January 1867 at Chester, Nova Scotia. He was 40.⁴ George Hatt married Eunice Cross on 13 September 1881 at Chester, Nova Scotia. He was 55. She was 38.⁵ George Hatt and Eunice Cross appeared on the census of 1891 at Chester, Nova Scotia, with Ada Hatt, Dora M. Hatt and Lottie Hatt.⁶ George Hatt died on 29 July 1896 at Chester, Nova Scotia, at age 69.³

     Ada Hatt was born on 24 June 1882 at Chester, Nova Scotia.^1,2 She married Edmund Alden Packard on 26 July 1904 at Boston, Massachusetts. She was 22.^3,4 Ada Hatt was the informant listed on the death certificate of Eunice Cross who died 6 September 1930.^1,5,6 Ada Hatt died on 31 January 1962 at Waltham, Massachusetts, at age 79 of bronchopneumonia, cerebral thrombosis, and cerebral arteriosclerosis. The informant on her death certificate was Harold E. Hart.^7,8,9 Ada Hatt was buried on 2 February 1962 in Hope's Rest Cemetery, Middleboro, Massachusetts.⁸

     Dora M. Hatt was born on 24 June 1882 at Chester, Nova Scotia.² She married Charles H. Hart on 8 September 1903 at Boston, Massachusetts. She was 21.³ Dora M. Hatt married George Howard Shaw on 5 March 1910 at Boston, Massachusetts. She was 27.^4,5 Dora M. Hatt was a stitcher.⁶ She died on 13 October 1956 at Waltham, Massachusetts, at age 74 of cerebral thrombosis due to hypertensive cardio vascular disease. The informant on her death certificate was Harold E. Hart.^7,6 Dora M. Hatt was buried on 16 October 1956 in Nemasket Hill, Middleboro, Massachusetts.⁸

     Lottie Hatt was born on 31 January 1884 at Chester, Nova Scotia.³ Bezansons from Nova Scotia calls her Laura.² She married Frederick Worthington Chandler in 1936 at Boston, Massachusetts.⁴ Lottie Hatt died on 12 May 1960 at Morton Hospital, Taunton, Massachusetts, at age 76 of coronary occlusion and coronary arteriosclerosis.⁵ She was buried on 14 May 1960 in Oak Hill Cemetery, Newburyport, Massachusetts.^6,5

     Sarah Elizabeth Cross was born on 10 May 1846 at Chester, Nova Scotia.² She married Ephraim Peter Mason on 2 April 1864 at Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. She was 17.²
