He was 36.3 Calvin Mason was a fisherman.4 He died on 2 March 1911 at age 44 when he was washed overboard while working on the schooner Susan and Mary under the command of Capt. Gourley Anderson. The schooner was 45 miles east of Thacher's island when he lost his footing and went overboard. The seas were quite rough and the crew was unable to rescue him.1,5,4

She was also suffering from arteriosclerosis and senile psychosis.4 She was buried on 14 August 1952 in Hope's Rest Cemetery, Middleboro, Massachusetts.5

According to his death certificate, he lived there 30 years.3 He died on 12 October 1970 at Widden Memorial Hospital, Everett, Massachusetts, at age 98.2,4,3 The cause of death was cerebral hemorrhage.3 He was buried on 15 October 1970 in Hope's Rest Cemetery, Middleboro, Massachusetts.3
