He was 29.3,4,5 Thora Irene Wood was listed as a child when Harry Wood petitioned the court to become a naturalized citizen on 12 December 1923.6 Thora Irene Wood and Donald Stanley Learnard were divorced in 1951 or 1952.2 Thora Irene Wood married Daniel J. Hehir circa 1953.7,2 Thora Irene Wood died on 20 February 1954 at Arlington, Massachusetts, at age 50.8,9

According to Mary Margaret Cloherty, Thora Irene Wood and Daniel J. Hehir knew each other when they were quite young. Thora first married Donald Learned, but after they divorced, she married Dan. They lived in Belmont or Arlington.7

RICHARD "DICK" LEARNARD

Salem – Richard Bradley "Dick" Learnard, 87, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013, following a period of declining health. He was surrounded by endless love and support of his family.

He leaves his beloved and devoted wife, Patricia Brown Learnard, who were married 34 years. He also leaves his children, Gail Learnard of Epping, NH, Marsha Learnard of Garner, NC, Scott Learnard of West Palm Beach, Fl, Kristen Meazell and husband Pat of St. Simons, GA, and Kimberly Baker and husband Troy of Concord, NC; Dick leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He also leaves his sister, Marjorie Robinson, with whom he always had a special relationship.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Stanley and Thora Wood Learnard; brother, Robert Learnard; and sister, Thora Taylor.

Born in Burlington, MA, he was a retired Insurance Agent, a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp. and also was a Mason. He will be remembered for his strength, humor, and devotion to his family.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, December 21, 2013 from the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home.3
