     Edward Jesse Bezanson was born in 1877.¹ He married Sadie Alma Kerr on 11 September 1915 at Halifax, Nova Scotia. She was 43.^2,1 Edward Jesse Bezanson petitioned the court to become a naturalized citizen on 15 September 1930 while living at 53 Alder Street, Waltham, Massachusetts.³ He was a carpenter.⁴ He married Mary Langeley in 1937 at Waltham, Massachusetts.^5,6,7 Edward Jesse Bezanson married in 1953 at Waltham, Massachusetts. I have not discovered who he married at that time.⁸ He was buried in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, Nova Scotia.⁹

In newspaper articles related to the abduction of Dorothy Jean Bezanson, a man identified as Edward Jesse Bezanson claims to be her father. In other records, such as the 1930 U.S. Federal Census and his naturalization papers, Edward claims to have no children. Meanwhile, Edward's brother Parker M. Bezanson had a daughter Dorothy who is the right age to be the girl in question. I strongly suspect that the articles refer to Parker's daughter Dorothy, but I do not know if Parker was consistently misidentified by news reporters, or perhaps the brothers had reasons that are lost to history that would explain why Edward was pretending to be Dorothy's father.

     Sadie Alma Kerr was born on 5 June 1872 at Canada.^2,3 She married Edward Jesse Bezanson on 11 September 1915 at Halifax, Nova Scotia. She was 43.^4,1 Sadie Alma Kerr was a widow at the time of her marriage to Edward.¹ Edward Jesse Bezanson and Sadie Alma Kerr appeared on the census of 1930 at 53 Alder Street, Waltham, Massachusetts.⁵ She died in 1936 at Waltham, Massachusetts.⁶ She was buried in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, Nova Scotia.⁷

     Pamela Robena Bezanson was born in June 1879.¹ She appeared on the census of 1881 at Windsor Forks, Nova Scotia, in the household of Nathaniel Bezanson and Louise Ann Lyon with Edith Zilla Bezanson and Edward Jesse Bezanson.² Pamela Robena Bezanson died on 18 July 1881 at age 2.¹ She was buried in Lyons Cemetery, Castle Frederick, Nova Scotia.³

     Robie Oris Bezanson was born circa 1882.² He married Evelyn G. Bent on 2 December 1907 at Falmouth, Nova Scotia.² Robie Oris Bezanson became a widower upon the death of his wife Evelyn G. Bent in 1922.³ Robie Oris Bezanson married Ethel Doncaster.² Robie Oris Bezanson died on 29 July 1972 at Welch's Rest Home, Maccan, Nova Scotia.² He was buried in River Hebert Cemetery, River Hebert, Nova Scotia.¹ He had no known children with either wife.²

     Evelyn G. Bent was born in December 1886 at Nova Scotia.² She married Robie Oris Bezanson on 2 December 1907 at Falmouth, Nova Scotia.¹ Evelyn G. Bent died in 1922.³ She was buried in River Hebert Cemetery, River Hebert, Nova Scotia.⁴

     Ethel Doncaster was born in 1891.² She married Robie Oris Bezanson.¹ Ethel Doncaster died in 1969.^2,1 She was buried in River Hebert Cemetery, River Hebert, Nova Scotia.²

     Nellie Alma Bezanson was born on 15 April 1885 at Falmouth, Nova Scotia.^3,4 She married Christian Umlah on 10 April 1901 at Windsor, Nova Scotia. She was 15. He was 22.^1,2 Nellie Alma Bezanson married Shaw B. Lunn.² Nellie Alma Bezanson died on 9 December 1954 at New Canaan, Nova Scotia, at age 69.^5,2 She was buried in Falmouth Cemetery, Falmouth, Nova Scotia.⁶

     Clara Bezanson was born in 1889.¹

     Eva Belle Bezanson was born circa 1890.¹ She appeared on the census of 1901 at Falmouth, Nova Scotia, in the household of Nathaniel Bezanson and Louise Ann Lyon with Robie Oris Bezanson, Parker M. Bezanson and Clara Bezanson.² Eva Belle Bezanson married George Alfred Rourke on 22 June 1910.¹

     Wayne Bezanson was born in 1938.² He died in 1951.^2,1

     Louisa Bezanson was born in 1936 at Falmouth, Nova Scotia.² She married Joseph Skidmore.¹ Louisa Bezanson died on 27 February 2015 at QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, Nova Scotia.²
