According to the court statements, Simes married Elsie Marguerite Bezanson while he was in Canada training for duty, but then married Betty Rock in June, 1947.3

Audrey is survived by her husband of fifty years, Ronald; sons, Wayne (Sandra) and David (Carol); grandchildren, Robert, Krista, Tyler, Alysha and Brody; sisters, Mona (Dean) Reeves and Veronica Reeves of Nova Scotia; sister-in-law Elaine Keating of Pickering, Ontario; and her nieces, nephews and their families who will greatly miss her.

He is survived by his wife, the former S. Jane Bezanson; two daughters, Lydia (Mrs. John Macdonald), Halifax; Margaret (Mrs. Lindsay Gates), Timberlea, Halifax County; sister, Mrs. Hazel Bezanson, Dalhousie; brother, Vincent, Fraxville, Lunenburg County; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Alexander in infancy; sister, Ethel. The body is in W.C. Hiltz Funeral Home, Kentville.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Augustine's Anglican Church, The Forties, Rev. Gordon Neish officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery. Donations may be made to Alzheimers disease unit at Grand View Manor, Berwick.3
