Obituary from The Bridgewater Bulletin (Bridgewater, Nova Scotia):
Mrs. Florence Evelene (Keddy) Fancy, wife of Guy Fancy, passed away at the Convalescent Home in Halifax, after two years of illness. They had been married since October 19, 1929.

Born at Forties Settlement 53 years ago, the daughter of Edward and Loretta (Bezanson) Keddy, she was a lover of the outdoors, an ardent hunter, and fisherman. She was school secretary.

Surviving besides her husband and parents are two daughters, Rhena (Mrs. Charles Joudrey), Cherryfield; Greta (Mrs. Errol Crossland), East Dalhousie; two sons, Arnold and Grover, of East Dalhousie; two sisters, (Alberta), Mrs. George Rhodenizer of Lunenburg; (Frances) Mrs. Hibbert Keddy, of Forties; six brothers, Seward, Lloyd, Gordon, George, and Douglas, of New Ross; and Theodore of Truro. Two sisters predeceased her. Nine grandchildren, aunts, and uncles remain to mourn their loss. A family serice was held by Rev. R. Mowry on Friday evening. Funeral service was held at the Anglican Church on Saturday at 2 o'clock. The church and grounds were filled with friends who came many miles to attend. Two favourite hymns, "In The Garden" and "Softly and Tenderly Jesus is Calling" were sympathetically rendered by friends from the East Dalhousie Choir. In the home where she was always the centre, the loss will be felt the most keenly. We comment them to the God who "doeth all things well." The beautiful flowers spoke their message.2

     Obituary:
All the old familiar faces in Christ Church, at early dawn on the great Festival of Easter and the blessed Christmas morn. At God's altar they are bending lowly each is kneeling there to receive the blessed sacrament which our Lord ordained when here. They are passing - and we miss them in the Church at early dawn. Never more to kneel beside them till the resurrection morn. James Edward Keddy, life long member and a worker of Christ Church, New Ross, departed this life at noon, January 30th, after six months illness at the age of 69 years, 8 days.

He was born and died on the same old homestead in the same month. He was a good citizen, a faithful Churchman and a strictly honest man. He leaves to mourn his loss a devoted wife who was a sister of the late George Reeves of Kentville, seven sons as follow: Arthur, Edward, Clarence, Michael and Augustine in New Ross; Harold in Billtown, Cornwallis; and George in California. Two daughters are living, Eliza (Mrs. Levi Keddy) Billtown, and Ethel (Mrs. Newton Turner) of New Ross. Three brothers - Nathan of Berwick; Alex and George of New Ross; four sisters - Mrs James C. Corkum, Mrs. O.S. Elliott and Mrs. Benjamin S. Meister of New Ross and Mrs. S.W. Bligh of Berwick. The pall bearers were his six sons. Rev (Captain) Whard Whate administered the communion to twenty-four mourners, gave a helpful address and finished the ceremony in Church Cemetery at the Cross. Mr. Keddy will be much missed in the community he leaves also twenty-two grandchildren.2
