Born in Arichat, Richmond County, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Grace (Bona) Bouchie. She was a retired school teacher, having taught in Cape Breton. She lived in Waterville, Kings County for many years.
She is survived by a son, Donald, Waterville; two daughters, Shirley (Mrs. Jan Nowacki), Ottawa; Marilyn (Mrs. Paul Feren), Lower Sackville; sister, Mrs. Mary Gammon, Halifax; 11 grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, James; two sons, Kenneth; one in infancy; two grandsons; a great-grandson; three sisters, Minnie, Margaret, Hattie; two brothers, James, Stanley.
The body has been cremated under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, Halifax. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Camp Hill Cemetery, Rev. Joe Christensen officiating.1
