BEZANSON (Knowles), Judith Ruth "Judy" - 54, Kentville, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2002, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.
Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of Gordon and Ethel Ruth (Austen) Knowles, Avondale, Hants Co. She spent many years with Aldershot Elementary School participating in the lunch program and many Grade 5 school camps at Sherbrooke Lake. She was involved with the United Church Hobby Crafters and was involved with Girl Guides and Pathfinders for over 25 years as well as Trefoil Guild. Judy loved her many trips with her friends to Huntington Point.
She is survived by her husband, Gordon Bezanson; daughters, Tammie, Petawawa, Ont; Jackie, Kentville; sons, Larry (Irene), Kentville; Danny, at home; stepdaughters, Elizabeth, Minto, N.B; Yvonne, Kentville; stepsons, Larry, Sackville; Darren and Bobby, both of Halifax; Darrel "Butch", Kentville; sister, Margy Knowles-Fletcher, Poplar Grove, Hants Co; brother, Michael (Ann) Knowles, Avondale; numerous step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; special friends, Ann Skaling; Shirley, Coriena and Brycie Mapplebeck.
She was predeceased by niece, Becky Fletcher.
Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Saturday, November 16, in W. C. Hiltz/White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, November 17, in Avondale United Church, Avondale, Rev. Marilyn MacDonald and Rev. Valerie Rhymes officiating. Burial will take place in Newport Landing Cemetery, Hants County.1
