Obituary from DeMont Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service (Windsor, Nova Scotia):
Obituary of Elva Mae Peach

Just three days after her 72nd birthday, on Monday, June 28, 2021, Elva passed away suddenly at home in Falmouth, going on to be with her loved ones who passed before her. Born on June 25, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Reg and Lindy (Bezanson) Crowell.

She will be forever missed by her loving husband, best friend and partner in life of 52 years, David; daughter, Tammy Blue (Rick Hill); grandchildren, Chloe and Caleb, Amanda (Saxen); great-grandson, Julien; Melissa (Myles); daughter, Sandy (Wayne Hopkins); grandsons, Avery and Cole; son, Dave (Kara); granddaughters, Natalie and Ally (Ryan); great-grandsons, Jaxson and Xander; her cats, Kitty and Tommy; her first friends, sisters, Ella (Doug Young) and Mary (David Robarts); sisters-in-law, Audrey Crowell and Dianne (Frank Phillips); as well as, several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Elva was predeceased by her in-laws, Rex and Nora Peach; son-in-law, Marc Blue; brother, Laurie Crowell and grandsons, Logan Blue and Addison Hopkins.

Elva was the salt of the earth. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and the best Grammie to all her kids, blood or not. You could always count on Mom to be there for all and everyone. She had the amazing gift of knowing when someone needed her, a friend, a pick me up, a plate of cookies, a pie or a shoulder to cry on…never judging, just being her Elva way.

At the age of 12 she began sharing her voice of an angel at weddings, anniversaries, funerals, churches, community choirs, family gatherings, camping sing songs and kitchen parties bringing the love of music wherever she went. She loved GOD and her church family whole- heartedly and lived her life through her undying faith. Guaranteed she is now directing a choir of angels in heaven. She loved her job of 52 years as a hairstylist beautifying clients, friends, family and nursing home clients, as well as for 25 years, funeral clients. Her clients held a special place in her heart, they were never just clients, they were her friends.

Mom, along with her partner in crime, were passionate of their many travels and passed on their love of day trips, camping, travelling and exploring, to their children. She has multiple journals of all their road trips across Canada and the USA, with Florida being one of her favorite winter vacations.

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor. There will be no visitation by request. A private invite only funeral service, keeping with COVID-19 guidelines will be held in Falmouth Baptist Church with Rev. Gail Whalen-Dunn officiating.
